About The Department : The Department Of English was established in the year 1979 . The Department started imparting education in the rural areas of Ropar district. The department aims to cater to the needs of training in English as a medium of communication and as a global language essential for the student’s all round academic and professional development . By offering the undergraduate BA degree in English Course , the department seeks to keep up with the equivalent college that have left their mark in the field of English Literary studies and sensitize students of the wider world of literature in an international language .

As the Department of English sprouted its roots since the establishment of this college,it offers a graduate programme in Communication skills which spreads through all the undergraduate courses.Th English department is a guide to those who want to explore the world of literature.The Department plays an active role in the co-curricular activities of the college.
