Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship for SC and BC


    • To apply in the scheme, a student must have Scheduled Caste Certificate. Annual Income of the family should not be more than Rs. 2.50 Lakh.
    • He must have freeship card to apply in the scheme.
    • A candidate belonging to BC category must have Backward Caste Certificate and Annual Income limit in this case is Rs. 1.50 lakh.

    1. Post Matric scholarship scheme for Minorities
    2. Central Sectors Scholarship Schemes for college and university students.
    3. Post-Matric Scholarship for students with disabilities.

Minorities includes wards of Sikhs, Muslims, Buddhist, Jain, Christian, Parsies. Annual Income limit of the family is Rs. 2 lakh and wards must have attained at least 50% marks in last examination.

There are some other scholarships which can be applied privately by students:

  2. Punjab Contruction Board : MNREGA, Construction workers are eligible for the same.
  3.  Jawaharlal Nehru Scholarship.

Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme
The government of Punjab has launched the Punjab Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme. Through this scheme, students will be encouraged to pursue higher education. The government will provide financial assistance
.

Benefits of Punjab Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme

  • The Punjab Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme has been launched by the government of Punjab 
  • Through this scheme tuition fee waiver will be provided to students getting good marks in their qualified examination 
  • The student will be eligible to get a waiver from 70% to 100% of their tuition fees 
  • Other than that financial assistance will also be provided to the students 
  • This financial assistance will be up to Rs 6600 per annum 
  • Now students will not be required to depend on anyone to pursue higher education 
  • As the government of Punjab is going to provide them with financial assistance 
  • This scheme will improve the standard of living of the beneficiaries 
  • Other than that the beneficiaries will also become self-dependent
