About Department:
The Department of Geography was established in 1979, under the BA (Programme) Course. The Department of Geography has always committed to excellence. Along with the theoretical framework, the department has established a well-equipped Cartography laboratory to learn and enhance their skills through practical applications in the fields of Cartography. Our department participates in the annual SCIENCE FEST of the college in which the students from all the streams of the college participates in academic deliberation to enhance academic interaction.  Objectives of our department include providing quality teaching of geographical knowledge adopting latest tools and techniques.To promote geographical education by sensitizing and aware the students about the problems, issues, challenges, and prospects arising out of the complex interplay between Man, Nature and Technology. A special emphasis has been given to interdisciplinary approaches, which has been complemented by a number of cutting-edge courses on rural-urban issues, climate change, environmental issues, disaster management, health and well-being.
